In the developing world, lack of access to basic health care can have horrific results to those suffering. Mercy Ships provides free surgery and medical care with the goal of saving lives and restoring hope.

As part of its holistic approach to health care whereby it seeks to heal the whole person and improve his/her living conditions, Mercy Ships works actively in community projects, often in conjunction with local partners.

While meeting the immediate need, Mercy Ships focuses its efforts on infrastructure and capacity building to leave a long term impact on the visited countries.
