This is the second community-based health care partnership between Mercy Ships and the Government of Togo for the Be-Kpota Anfamé Clinic. In 2010, Mercy Ships already renovated a section of this clinic.

In February 2012, thanks to a generous gift of a Swiss foundation, Mercy Ships completed major renovations to another section of the clinic facility, in order to house its outpatient center. When the 2012 Mercy Ships Field Service in Togo will end, this section of the facility will be returned to the clinic.

The health facility built by the Togolese government in 2007 served 200 people in 2009, but now, because of the improvements contributed by Mercy Ships, 1,200 people are being served.
