]]> Africa Mercy. In Guinea, the government has provided to Mercy Ships the ground floor of the Ignace Deen Hospital, one of two national hospitals in Conakry, for use during its stay in the country. Through collaboration with the organization Engineering Ministries International, the hospital received a long-awaited renovation, providing Mercy Ships patients and staff with a comfortable, hygienic facility within which quality medical care can be provided. Mercy Ships is also taking this opportunity to provide training for local hospital staff, strengthening the ability of Ignace Deen Hospital to provide medical services to their patients. After the ship’s departure in June, the renovated facility will be returned to the hospital and will better serve the local population.
